Fairytales are weird. They always portray a happy and perfect ending. Well, that's not true in real life. Everything you pursue or every story of yours need not have a perfect ending in real life. We are told fairytales right from the beginning, right from childhood. And that's how we end up with the notion that every ending is going to be happy and perfect, just as we'd imagined it to be. But, when the truth surfaces itself in real life, that's when trouble begins. All our fairytales shatter like pieces of mirror when realities are faced. Because, let's face it, every path you trod upon, every chapter you begin to write in the book of your life, need not end well, need not end perfectly. If everything were to end exactly the way you'd imagined, there'd be no surprises, there'd be no adventure and life would be so monotonous. No excitement/fear for the future.
