Don't Die before you Die
On a cold night, when the leaves fluttered outside, Death visited a man. With horrific red eyes and a hoarse voice, it told the man that it had come to take his Life away from him. Without any objection whatsoever, the man agreed. As he prepared for his Life to be taken away, Death turned away from him and began to leave, alone. The man asked, “Wait! Aren’t you going to take my Life with you?” The reply he got in return shook him to the core. Death replied,” How can I take something from you which you don’t have? You were not even a bit resistant when I asked you for your Life, which shows that you have no love for your Life. You died a long time ago.” How often are we grateful for the life that we have been offered? How often do we count our blessings and enjoy the wonder that our life is?
